There are 3 extra opportunities for other special people to be recorded narrating the stories and possibly describing the images for visually impaired children. This is also a great chance for your child to hear themselves reading aloud, to be read a bedtime story by a parent who is away from home or perhaps by Grandparents. Choose whoever your child would love to read them a story.
The reason these stories in rhyme were written is because all our furry friends have such individual and unique characters. They have such fun times, who wouldn't want to meet them?
They all deserve to be celebrated for their loyalty, kindness, sense of adventure and ability to lighten up our lives.

Twinkle Toes, Thunder Paws, Jet Pads and Sweet Feet were all rescue animals whose lives began in difficult circumstances. But, with the help of some lovely humans made their way to our home.
Perhaps you can see some similar characteristics reminiscent of our furry family in your own.

The final part in each extension will be an open question to begin discussion or to prompt drawing and writing. This is a great way for your child to use their imagination and skills to create their own short story.
