Jewellery Making in Cordoba

Gold and silverwork is one of the main driving forces of the economy in Cordoba and the work is internationally famous. One of the best known techniques is Cordoban filigree work, which consists of soldering gold or silver threads onto a metal structure to create different shapes.

Here at Getaway and Create, you will not be working with such materials or methods.  However, you will be following in the creativity involved in designing your own jewellery.  You can leave this great city with your own designer jewellery, a lasting reminder of your stay.

Short and Sweet Jewellery Making courses offer a welcome break from the afternoon heat of the city.  Come and take time out in our home in hills where it is cooler, relax in a beautiful environment and learn a new skill.  We can provide transport to and from the centre and you can enjoy a snack lunch while you create.

Follow in the footsteps of history and become a jewellery designer for the day!

Recycled Plastic Jewellery Making

Unique

This material is fantastic to work with as you can create any centre piece you wish.  We have many images to hand to get you started and from this you can create completely unique pieces of jewellery.

What can I achieve

During the 2 1/2 hour course you can learn some basic jewellery making skills using appropriate tools.  You will also be designing your own individual pieces using recycled plastic, so you will leave with some beautiful personalised jewellery.

Recycle and Create

We all know that there is too much plastic being used in the world.  Spain is no different from the rest of the world and even drinking water is sold in plastic bottles.  Here at your Short and Sweet course you can learn how to recycle and make use of this material to make some truly creative pieces of jewellery.   You can help the environment by recycling the plastic and creating lasting jewellery for yourself and others to enjoy.

Recycled Aluminium Jewellery Making

Unique

This is a fantasic material to work with as it can be easy shaped, embossed and surrounded with the colours of your choice using polymer clay.  This allows you to create particularly unique pieces of jewellery.

What can I achieve

This method of creating unique items of jewellery is something you can very easily recreate at home.  Therefore, you not only go home with a new item of jewellery, you have the knowledge to continue creating and developing in the future.

Recycle and Create

Using recycled aluminium allows you the chance to help your environment in a directly creative way.  The main body of your jewellery is formed using aluminium containers that would have otherwise have been thrown in the rubbish.   You can literally turn trash into treasure.
